Stage Races

Stage races will be offered January 11, 12, & 13, 2008 and the entry fee for the three days of racing will be $175.00 which includes a $35.00 membership in M.U.T.T.. Race distances will range from 25 to 40 miles. Purse money and merchandise will be awarded to those mushers who race all three days. The entry fee is the same for mushers who only want to race one or two days. The application and entry fee must be postmarked or received by midnight January 4, 2008. Applications received after that date and just prior to the musher meeting will be assessed a $100.00 late fee. Please apply as soon as the application and rules are available in the fall. The sooner the race organizers know the number of mushers planning to race, the better. Getting early numbers really helps the volunteers plan the banquet, musher and spectator parking, and other race related logistical issues. This will be a 6 dog minimum, 8 dog limit and 10 dog pool even. Six dog teams are encouraged for these races.
