Seeley Lake 300

A 300 mile Iditarod qualifying race is tentatively planned for January 11, 12, and 13, 2008. A minimum of five applications must be received or postmarked by midnight, November 16, 2007 or the race will not be held. The total race entry fee will be $400.00 which includes a $35.00 membership in M.U.T.T.. A $100.00 deposit or the entire entry fee must accompany the application. If there are not enough mushers signed up by the deadline, the entry fee or deposit will be refunded. If the race is held and a musher does not come to the race, the $100.00 deposit or $100.00 of the entry fee previously submitted will be forfeited. If it is established there will be a race, further applications and entry fees will be accepted if they are postmarked or received by January 4, 2008. Applications received after that date and just prior to the musher meeting will be assessed a $100.00 late fee. There will be no purse money or merchandise for this race. Participants in the 300 mile qualifying race are not permitted to enter the 200 mile race which will be held concurrently. Race applicants will be notified on or about November 23, 2007 if the race will be held. This will be a 16 dog limit race with no handler assistance permitted.
